My name is Jaimie; I am a wife and mother that has absolutely fallen in love with DIY sewing, shoemaking, and the occasional bagmaking a few years ago. I have always had a passion for shoes and always believed that a beautiful shoe can always make an outfit.

My brand “Black Linings” has been a few years in the making. I produce specially crafted, limited-quantity designs and hope to grow into more designs with time.

If you’re curious about the name Black Linings, “Black” is my last name. As for “Linings”, that represents a layer of different materials covering the inside surface of something, which was so fitting to be part of my brand name as I am born from an African mother and a white father. And so while “Black” is the covering for all to see, there is so much more beneath that makes up my story's inner linings. The goal for my shoe brand is to create gorgeous quality fashion shoes that are worthy of both the red carpet and any occasion.
